CUSCO Evo 3(CE9A)

Recently I have found out an used Cusco Evo 3(CE9A) front and rear bar selling cheap at Mudah.my .
So I've took this opportunity to grab it before it sold out. This time I gonna to DIY myself since the installation is easy.

Still in packaging

*haha* I'm big fans of Japanese racing part XD

As for rear it's almost looks like brand new

The bolt nuts

Do not use small size spanner, at the end see what happened ? Spoiled , found an adjustable spanner(Which much more easier to open the bolt nuts compared with the small size spanner)

Unbolt nuts

Before fit

After Fitted

As for rear, I have to cut off the carpet.

I just cut a straight line only, still want to keep my rear boot carpet.

As for rear bold nuts, it's almost same way to open the front nuts

Finally fitted. Awesome:)

Again I broken the rear carpet clips. Lousy plastic clip.

Balancing and Alignment

It's almost 2 years since the last time I did my balancing and alignment(previous post) *haha* I know it's sound hard to believe. The reason I never do any balancing and alignment because I seldom drive my car after I started working. I drive another car as my daily working car due to my Hero not suitable at my working place and it lowered *LOL*. My hero only clocked 200km++ mileage within 10-13 days(I did tried my best to drive more).

So 1 day as usual ,I was checking my car condition and found out that my front rubber started to damaged. Below are the pictures that I took;

Front rubber

Just left 10-20% tread

However for Rear rubber

It still looks new like the first day of purchase XD

Finally sent to workshop

Changed the front rubber and did the balancing and alignment.

Close up

See.... how serious my tyres. Not only the tyres damaged, my wallet damaged too.

At last changed to Corsa 2233

Have to cut my budget this time. Not willing to spend so much on my hero, currently in the process of saving. Hopefully able to get my dream car soon *wahaha*.

As conclusion, please do send your car for balancing and alignment even though only use the car on weekends or etc. At least 10,000 mileage or 1 year once.

Here's my oem filter which has been used for 3-4years

OEM vs K&N

As result, so far my 6 sense felt
1)Increase in acceleration

Wannabe

Recently I've been poisoned by Evo123 forum. *haha* my hand started feel itchy to make my Hero to lookalike Lancer Evolution. Of cause I've tried my best to control myself and luckily my wallet doesn't allow me to do so XD. Here's the small part(Frame plate number holder) that I want to lookalike Evo style;

As you can see the Evolution CD9A-CE9A frame plate number holder is in black color.

Well.. for Proton Wira which based on original car color.

Below are the process of DIY again;

The frame plate number has taken out

The center part has wrapped with carbon fiber sticker.

After an hour, finally done. The frame has wrapped with matte black sticker.

Don't think I'm good in DIY *haha*. I accidentally broken few clips during the process DIY(which hold the frame plate number). So I've went to Proton center and bought the clips back.

Finally Evo style frame plate number holder *haha*.

P/S: Don't misunderstood,Skyline/GTR still No.1 in my heart *haha*, I still live up my dream until I achieve it:)

Blue......

Each time I see my front calipers(Wish I've rear too *sad*), I always feel my brake looks so weird and ugly. There are only two ways in order to let her pretty like Japanese chicks XD. First option change front and rear brakes to Mit.Lancer Evolution III(CE9A) brake kit, or else give the calipers a new shinning color. Due to budget considerations, I've tried the budget way which is to paint the calipers by myself. Thus, I've decided to paint it in color that similar to Endless blue.

Here are the pictures during the process of DIY

OEM brake system and replica Work Emotion

Oh..... HELL even my dinner plate much bigger than it.

Taped up with old newspaper

Here's the color of Candytone blue(RM10 below, cheap right *haha*)

It's left to dry and HAIR-dryer were used to dry it up.

After all......

Car battery(Fluid)

Here's my car battery that using lead-antimony plates(require regular watering to replace water lost). The benefit of this battery which can use longer than the battery of charge and discharge but however the problem that I keep facing when using battery fluid is sometime the water/acid leaking itself. The acid leaking may caused the metal part become rusted

Noticed any rusted part?

Right now, I'm going to DIY to fix all those damaged parts.
I've went to Hardware shop and bought two spray paints, matte black and white.

Here are the spray paints, white and matte black(For matte black, can used in variety ways such as painting front/side/rear diffuser if you've accidentally scratched )

Ok, let me show you the damaged parts

Rusted part on battery holder

Moreover, the bolt nuts under the battery tray were rusted.

I have taken everything out and painted to matte black in order to looks new.

Under the battery tray was damaged too.

I just simply painted on the area near the nuts hole.

For the rusted bolt nuts, I've bought a new want to replace it.

Finally.... everything new again XD.
